Peritoneal Cancer Surgery

Our approach to peritoneal cancer is built upon the pillars of complete tumor clearance. This often involves an extensive procedure known as Cytoreductive Surgery (CRS), which aims to remove all macroscopic disease from the abdomen. In cases where it is indicated, we integrate this with Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) or other regional delivery techniques, such as PIPAC, to target residual microscopic cancer cells. This integrated, multidisciplinary approach is designed to maximize oncological success.

Patients presenting with primary peritoneal mesothelioma, appendiceal cancers, or metastatic spread from colon, stomach, or ovarian cancers may be candidates for these specialized procedures. Because peritoneal surgery is an intensive undertaking, we conduct a detailed, patient-specific evaluation—including advanced imaging and sometimes diagnostic laparoscopy—to ensure that the surgical plan is safe and offers the greatest potential for long-term benefit.
