GI and Cancer Surgeon in Bangalore | Dr Prabhu Nesargikar comes with an International pedigree and has experience of more than 16 years having worked in UK, South Korea and Singapore. He is a Consultant Esophageal and Gastric Oncosurgeon, Cancer and Advanced Endoscopic Surgeon. He graduated from M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bengaluru and won any accolades in the medical school, including being in the top 10 percentile for academic acheievements.

On completion of his MBBS, he subsequently moved to UK to pursue his surgical training. He did his Basic Surgical Training at Taunton, and obtained his MRCS from Royal College of Surgeons, England. Pursing his passion for teaching, he spent a year at Keele Medical School as a Clinical Tutor. Concurrent with his teaching, he carried out research in educational methodologies and obtained MA in Medical Education based on the thesis and was awarded ‘Merit’ distinction. His inquisitiveness in clinical research led him to Cardiff where he carried out basic science research in renal ischemia-reperfusion injures, and based on his work and thesis, he was awarded Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Cardiff University.
